Unless a recipe specifically calls for using DRY Vejje Beef Free Mix, always HYDRATE Vejje according to package directions BEFORE using it in your recipe.
For use in your own soups, sauces, and chili, simply brown Vejje ground beef in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Then add browned Vejje ground beef to soup, sauce, or chili about 5 minutes before serving. Hydrated Vejje Beef can also be added to soups and chili and sauces without browning. Simply hydrate the Vejje Beef, add it to your sauce or soup and simmer for 20 or more minutes.
Hydrated Vejje Beef Free can be refrigerated for up to 7 days. Vejje Ground Beef is also freeze-thaw stable and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
