One 8 Oz. bagDRY Vejje Beef-Free Mix(8 oz. - use entire package)
1/4CupAll-purpose white flour
2TBSPolive or canola oil
1 1/2 CupsHOT tap water
1/4 CupA. 1 Original Sauce(optional)
1/4 CupShredded onion with juices
In a large bowl, stir together the dry Vejje Beef-Free Mix and flour.
Add the HOT tap water, oil, shredded onion with juices and A-1 if using. Stir until fully mixed.
Set aside for 5 minutes. Stir again.
Fill mixture into 1/3 measuring cup, (or use your preferred cup size). Empty cup onto parchment paper, flatten with hand and form into patties.
ALLOW THE BURGERS TO REST FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE COOKING.
Cook in a pre-heated lightly oiled skillet over medium-low heat -- about 3 minutes each side or as desired.
You can make any size Vejje burger - everything from sliders to 1/2 ponders! Simply adjust cooking time accordingly.
Once you have successfully prepared Vejje Burgers a few times, try adding some finely chopped sautéed mushrooms (about 1 cup) to the Vejje mix along with the hot water and flour Or, add finely chopped sautéed greens or mashed beans to the mix.
