Ingredients
  • 1 bag (8 oz) DRY Vejje Beef-Free Mix (use entire bag)
  • cups hot water
  • 2 TBSP Canola Oil or other neutral oil
  • 2 TBSP Vegan steak sauce (like A-1)
  • ¼ cup Flour (we use all purpose)
  • ¼ cup Unflavored almond or soy milk
  • 2 - 3 TBSP Finely minced onion
  • 2 TBSP Vegan bacon bits
  • 2/3 cup Shredded vegan cheese (we use a blend)
  • Garlic powder and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients, except garlic powder and pepper, in a large bowl and stir until well mixed. Set mixture aside for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Spoon mixture into ½ measuring cup (if smaller patties are desired, use smaller cup measure). Empty cup onto nonstick surface (we like parchment paper) and flatten with hand to form into patties. Sprinkle patties with garlic powder and pepper.
  3. Allow the patties to rest for at least 10 minutes before cooking.
  4. Cook in a pre-heated lightly oiled non-stick skillet over medium heat, about 4 to 5 minutes each side or as desired. Great on the grill too!
Recipe Notes

Leftover burgers can be refrigerated for about a week or frozen for 3 months.
