Ingredients
  • One 8 Oz. bag DRY Vejje Italian Sausage-Free Mix (use entire bag)
  • 2 Cups COLD Water
  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil or Canola Oil (use 1 TBSP for reduced oil)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until fully mixed
  2. Cover and set aside for 10 minutes
  3. Uncover and transfer into a pre-heated oiled skillet. Medium heat. Chop with a spatula into crumbles while browning. Usually 6-8 minutes. Crumbles are now ready to use!
TIPS
  1. Refrigerate uneaten crumbles up to 7 days or freeze up to 3 months. Conveniently enjoy at a later date.
  2. Use wet hands to prevent uncooked crumbles from sticking to hands.
Recipe Notes

For baking (pizza, lasagna, casseroles, etc.), there is no need to brown the crumbles. Simply add the uncooked crumbles to your recipe then bake. For sauces, chilis and burritos, add the browned crumbles to your entree prior to serving
