Ingredients
  • One 8 Oz. bag DRY Vejje Beef-Free Mix (8 Oz. - use entire package)
  • 1 3/4 Cups HOT tap water
  • 2 TBSP olive or canola oil
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until fully mixed.
  2. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes to fully hydrate.
  3. Uncover and use a spoon or fork to crumble. Vejje Meatless Ground Beef crumbles are now ready to be used in place of ground beef in virtually any recipe. Simply brown Vejje Beef-Free Crumbles in a pre-heated oiled skillet over medium heat for about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let crumbles rest about 5 minutes. Crumble further as desired and enjoy!
TIPS
  1. For use in your own soups, sauces and chili, simply brown the ground beef in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Then add the browned ground beef to your soup, sauce, or chili about 5 minutes before serving.
  2. Vejje ground beef is also great for baking (think pizza and lasagna). If baking with Vejje beef-free crumbles, there is no need to brown the crumbles before adding them to your recipe.
