Ingredients
- One 8 Oz. bag DRY Vejje Sausage-Free Mix (8 oz. - use entire bag)
- 1 TBSP Ground Chipotle Powder (For Extra Spicy use additional Chipotle Powder)
- 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 4 Finely Minced Cloves Garlic (or granulated equivalent)
- 1/2 tsp Salt (optional)
- 1 tsp Mexican Oregano
- 2 TBSP plus 2 tsp Vinegar
- 1 1/2 Cups hot water
- 2 TBSP Olive or Avocado Oil
Instructions
- In a bowl combine the dry Vejje Sausage-Free Mix and spices and mix well. Add the vinegar, hot water and oil, and mix well with a spoon.
- Let mixture rest for 25 minutes
- Cook the crumbles in a lightly oiled non-stick skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Turn the crumbles over and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Remove the crumbles from the heat and allow to cool slightly. When cool enough to handle, break crumbles into pieces with hands.
- You are now ready to use Vejje Chorizo Crumbles as a topping for tostados, nachos or pizza, or as a filling for tacos, enchiladas and burritos. Vejje Sausage-Free Chorizo Crumbles can also be enjoyed in a warm tortilla with sliced avocado & breakfast potatoes or in a vegan scramble.
