Unless a recipe specifically calls for using DRY Vejje Ground Beef, always HYDRATE Vejje according to package directions BEFORE using it in your recipe.
For use in your own soups, sauces, and chilis, simply brown Vejje ground beef in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Then add browned ground beef to your soup, sauce, or chili about 5 minutes before serving.
Hydrated Vejje Ground Beef can be refrigerated for up to 7 days. Vejje Ground Beef is also freeze-thaw stable and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
We suggest that you use a small kitchen scale (available at grocery stores and online) and prepare the Vejje Ground Beef recipes using the weight by ounces – rather than the cups – measurement.
